STC Freight is committed to a policy of safety, environmental and health management which is intended to eliminate all possible risks to the general public, employees and endeavour’s to enhance the customers total risk management objectives.

The following measures are to assist the overall policy:

• Daily equipment checks are carried out.
• A proactive maintenance management system is essential to the reliable and safe operation of the company’s assets
• A principle of zero tolerance towards employees contravening customer’s safety rules.
• By employing external professionals a system of reward for excellence in vehicle operation helps manage risk.
• STC Freight has embarked on an HIV/AIDS awareness program, in an effort to contribute to controlling the pandemic in Southern Africa.
• Drivers are required to have annual medical examinations to ensure they are safe to drive.
• By regular maintenance and upgrading of the fleet and strict depot measures we endeavor to make our operation environmentally friendly.
• STC Freight has the required safety committee in place to highlight, investigate and report to management on all hazards, incidents, and unsafe working conditions
